# 15 Most Dangerous Cities in America

Every year Mercer ( http://www.destinationtips.com..../advice/15-dangerous ), undertakes an exhaustive study of more than 450 cities. So here is Mercer’s list of American cities in 2017, with the lowest quality of life.

15. Honolulu, Hawaii
Home to a growing m*th problem, where small time crime is relatively common.

14. New York City, New York
When you cram 8.5 million people together crime is bound to happen. Especially in certain sections of the city.

13. Seattle, Washington
There is an incredible amount of r*bbery and ass*ult per capita; a result of the city’s m*th problem.

12. Chicago, Illinois
The city’s epidemic of gun vi*lence is fodder for Monday morning news reports every week.

11. Washington, D.C.
D.C.’s crime rate is more than three times the national median. S*xual ass*ult occurs to nearly 1 in 1,000 people.

10. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Cases of r*pe, m*rder, and armed r*bbery are reported on an annual basis.

9. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Right behind Pittsburgh, Philadelphia still reports more than 450 crimes per square mile.

8. Los Angeles, California
M*rder, armed r*bbery, and r*pe are so common that the odds of being a victim is one in 155.

7. Minneapolis, Minnesota
The odds of being a victim of a violent crime in the city is one in eighteen.

6. Dallas, Texas
Dallas has a fairly high crime rate, however, when compared to other cities of its size it's actually much lower than most.

5. Atlanta, Georgia
In Atlanta, the probability of being the victim of b*rglary or th*ft is 1 in 17.

4. Houston, Texas
Rampant property crime and auto th*ft problems, trump the violence in the area.

3. Miami, Florida
The odds of some frankly crazy sh*t happening to you in Miami, are about 1 in 100.

2. St. Louis, Missouri
R*cial tension that has clogged the city for decades. Its crime rate is four times higher than the national median.

1. Detroit, Michigan
Unsurprisingly, the lowest ranked US city on Mercer’s list was Detroit, where one out of every 2,000 people are m*rdered each year.
