COVID-19: Health experts warn UK must prepare for second wave as lockdown eases
British health experts have warned the government to brace for a second wave of COVID-19 infections as pubs, restaurants, hotels and cinemas are set to reopen from July 4. In a letter published in the British Medical Journal, experts called for a review into "areas of weakness" to prevent the number of new cases from rising again. Prime Minister Boris Johnson had previously announced sweeping changes to lockdown restrictions, including reducing the two-metre distancing rule to a "one-metre plus" rule.
